Amazing place for bird lovers, one can spot many varieties of birds. Refer few pics below. The river side experiene is amazing with so much of flora and fauna. It is recommended to visit there just after dawn to spot maximum birds. One can also notice the city line along with the bank of river Yamuna, a fantastice view. Only after coming here one can realize that such place with so calm and serenity can exists in the midst of one of the biggest city of world. The Okhla Bird Sanctuary, nestled in Noida, India, sprawls across 4 sq km at the Yamuna-Hindon river confluence. Hosting 300+ bird species, including migratory Siberian Cranes and resident kingfishers, herons, and egrets, it's a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The sanctuary's diverse habitats—wetlands, marshes, and grasslands—offer ideal breeding grounds. Visitors relish birdwatching, nature walks, and stunning vistas from designated viewpoints. Despite facing challenges like water pollution, the sanctuary thrives, but conservation efforts are crucial. A visit promises an enriching experience amidst nature's beauty and biodiversity, making it a must-see destination for those seeking serene ecological wonders.

Visited Okhla Bird Sanctuary on 29 July 2023 with my kid. It was my first visit to this sanctuary, it is located in Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar district, on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh state border. Known as a haven for over 300 bird species, especially waterbirds, the Okhla Bird Sanctuary (OBS) covers roughly 4 square kilometres. To enter OBS, you have to pay a gate entry fee of Rs 30, and the entry point can be easily found on Google Maps. We chose the Noida gate entry, and luckily, the weather was pleasant with morning rain. However, due to the recent floods and the Yamuna river, we didn't get to see as many birds as expected. The sanctuary is well-designed with a straight road along the river, and there are plenty of seating benches, although they were often occupied by couples. If you visit with family, make sure to bring water and snacks as there are no food outlets inside. Also, it's important to be responsible and carry back any trash you generate, as some people have left litter in the sanctuary. Overall, it's a one-time visit destination. I would recommend checking out Surajpur wetland in Greater Noida for a more nature-centric experience, where you can observe numerous migrated birds.
