Prakriti Metro Park

Very nice clean and ambient place to spend your mornings and evenings. Beautiful flowers and greenery throughout the park which makes it ideal for jogging , chilling around and for simply taking a stroll around the park. It has numerous and clean benches also where one can sit and enjoy his evenings or mornings. Various architectural structures and statues adds to the ornamental value of this park. One can also make use of the open gym which has basic gym machines. Other than that there is also a Olympic sized football field at the centre of the park. Kids wouldn't be disappointed either as the park offers various slides and swings which makes for a perfect family outing in evenings. Other facilities provided at the this park includes small parking lot, separate toilet for men and women, an amphitheater and has three different gates for entrance. All in all parkriti metro park offers a complete package and is also sufficiently secured as there presence of CISF officers and cadets around the park in addition to private guards for this park. Although it is not yet opened commercially or generally for public anyway

Spread over a vast expanse, Prakriti - Metro Park is a unique park created from waste materials generated from the metro’s construction sites. Artists from across the country have come together to create beautiful installations here. A highlight of which is the Trellis Court which has pillars of increasing height to depict the evolution of Delhi Metro from a nascent organisation to a world-class asset.

The Prakriti park, near Shastri Park Metro station, was inaugurated on Monday by Justice Swatanter Kumar. The park’s main attraction is sculptures made out of junk material. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s ‘Prakriti’ park near Shastri Park Metro station opened on Monday amid much anticipation. Made out of iron scrap, discarded sheets, broken pipes and tiles, the 42,000 sqm park has 12 sculptures. HT had first reported on December 26 that DMRC was in the process of designing such a park.
