As a park, its need significant improvement. Earlier sabji mandi was located around park (only name sake??) which has now been shifted inside. Sabji Mandi Katwaria Sarai is one of the prominent places which everyone staying in Katwaria Sarai and surrounding area like ISI, NCERT, Qutub Institutional Area etc used to walk almost daily to buy vegetables, fruits and all other day to day use items. Rates here are reasonable. It is a small market. Many vendors used to sell fruits on bicycle. Market is now located just outside the Panchayat Ghar, a well known location in the Sarai. Wholesale grocery shop, Jindal Store is also located nearby. Whole area is full of dirt and function practically on road. The area also have a Safal/vegetable shop and Mother Dairy booth nearby. Proper management is need of the hour. It is being monitored by the local community. One can experience dirt all around. Cars can be seen in the congested street.
